I am a leading lacrimal surgeon in Japan. I graduated from and trained at the University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan and then began practicing lacrimal surgery. In 2001, I opened a private clinic. Major accomplishments include developing a lacrimal endoscope, publishing over 20 works, presenting over 80 lectures and currently sitting on the board of directors of the Japanese Society of Lacrimal Passage and Tear Dynamics. I am working toward enriching both myself and my domestic colleagues by bringing the international ophthalmology community to Japan, as well as sharing my experiences with the international community.
